I will definitely remember the students as they have made an impact on me, being with them for some time, I have learned about them and about what they like and I was eventually able to just know how to help them in the best way that I could.
End
I still plan on pursing a career in welding and plumbing, this experience has helped me on being more of a people's person which in turn allows me to deal with situations differently
- I learned that I can be more patient than I had thought, some kids are more difficult to deal with than others and need different attention and that transition to change your way of helping is slightly difficult
- I also learned that I don't want children any time in the near future
This wasn't the best fit for me because it is not in the area of work I plan on pursing, but it gave me a chance to experience something new and broaden my range of creativity and knowledge
While working with Ms. McLellan, my daily duties were
- Checking agendas for signatures
- Helping the student get ready in the morning for class
- Worked independently with some student and in small organized groups
- Marking students homework and organizing work sheets
- Photocopy as needed
Where?
I did my co-op placement at Princess Elizabeth Public School with a grade 3 class with Ms. McLellan which happens to have been my grade 3 teacher
