the nunki star starts its life in the star nebula, just like all stars the nunki formed within dense clouds of dust and gas located in the interstellar medium of a galaxy. Gravity causes these clouds to collapse in on themselves turning into a massive star.Any star which is larger than eight solar masses during its regular main sequence lifetime is considered a massive star.

That extra heat is provided by the contraction (gravitational collapse) of the stellar core, which increases the center temperature to the point where the heavier elements can fuse This extra heat also warms up the outer layers which expands and, being more distant from the core, cool off (relatively speaking) this is where the red color comes from. .when it runs out of helium fuel in its core, the star's core starts to heat up and collapse,
the higher density of the core translates into a lower overall density for the outer layers.
Fusing middle mass elements, however,does not provide as much energy as fusing lighter ones, and eventually, the stellar core is filled with elements like nickel and iron, which will only fuse if you give them energy. Therefore the nuclear reaction stops in the core. No longer supported by the radiation pressure from the core heat, the outer layer fall down on the core, and bounce off the core, causing the super nova. Then now essentially naked stellar core is then left to its own device. If there is enough mass, it will collapse until all the neutrons are "touching" one another so the stellar core is essentially a huge ball of neutrons that collapses and explodes in a tremendous supernova explosion, the dense inner core is all that remains. When the dying star is collapsing, the core gets progressively denser.
