Things to be noticed

Did you notice that fractions and ratios were so similar. To change fractions and ratios to decimals and percent was almost the same. The only difference was naming the sides (terms against numerator and denominator)

Which did you thing was the easiest to change?

Its probably percent since the transactions were simple.

Fractions

To change "percent" to "fractions" all you have to do is take the percent and use it as the numerator, which obviously means that 100 will be the denominator.

Ratios

TO:

Fractions

Percent

To change a "ratio" to a "percent" you must divide the terms into each other (first into second term) ,then multiply it by 100.

Ex.

19:20 = 0.95

0.95 times 100= 95%

To change "ratios" to "fractions" all you have to do is replace the first term by the numerator and the second term by the denominator.

Ex.

Decimals

50% = 0.50

To change "ratios" to "decimals" you just have to divide the first term into the second term.

Ex.

20:23 = 0.86

Decimals

Ex.

Ratios

26% = 26:100

to turn a "percent" into "ratio" you all you have to do is use the percent as the first term and 100 as the second term since percent means "out of 100"

o

Decimals

to change "percents" to "decimals" you only need to follow one step.just divide the percent by 100.

How to change...

"Fractions" to decimals, ratios, and percents

"Decimals" to ratios, percents, and fractions

"Ratios" to percents, fractions, and decimals

"Percents" to fractions, decimals, and ratios

ractions

to change a "decimal" to a "fraction" you just have to multiply it by 10, 100, 1000 etc. and use it as your deno, inator and your answer as the numerator

Decimals

Ratios

To change "decimals" into "ratios" you must multiply the decimal by 10, 100, 1000 etc. which will be your second term and the answer will be the first term of the ratio.

Percent

To change a "decimal" to a "percent" you simply multiply the decimal by 100 giving you the answer.

Ex.

0.25 times 100 = 25

So 25% is the answer.

Percent

To change "fractions" to "percents" you must divide the numerator into the denominator , then multiply the ans. by 10o. Which will give you the percentage.

Ex.

11/19= fraction ( / = ----- )

11 divided by 19 =0.57

0.57 multiplied by 100= 57

57 is the ans. so 57= 57 percent

1. To change "fractions" to "decimals" you simply have to divide the numerator by the denominator.

2. If you get an endless number list than just write up to the second number after the decimal.

Ex 1. 2

----- = 2 10 = 0.2 See the ans. is a decimal

10

Ex 2.

When you divide numbers like 7 by 12 you will get answers like 0.583333... and that is when you write up to the second number after the decimal. (your ans would be 0.58)

Ratios

To turn "fractions" into "ratios" you have to take the numerator and turn it into the first term of the ratio.

So that means you have to turn the denominator into the second term.

Ex.

2

---- = 2:10
