Acetone is a very flammable and strong smelling solvent which is it is strong enough to dissolve plastic. Sadly, it is used in many household chemicals and things which we use everyday.

Since Acetone is in many household items it is quite easy to be exposed.

Routes of exposure include:

*Breathing it in

*Ingesting it

*Or absorbing it into your skin

Effects on the Enviroment

Sadly, most of the items I searched for "Acetone free" were nail polish removers.

Acetone doesnt have a harsh effect on the enviroment as it occurs naturally in nature. Things such as plants, trees, volcanic gases, forest fires, and even the by product of broken down of body fat.Even if some industrialized acetone was spread it already evaporates rapidly, even from water and soil.
