I would probably never of knew this but Virginia is called the "Mother Of Presidents because 8 presidents lived there,and Thomas J. Jimmy was a peanut farmer.

The coolest think of an event that happened was The Wright Brothers famous flight in North Carolina.

Or in 1807 when Robert Folten created the Steam Boat (Folten's Fally.)

Also in 1775 when Daniel Boom created the Wilderness Road through the Appalachian Mountains.

Natural resources

In the Southeast there are swamps. The Everglades are the only place both crocodiles and alligators live.

There are mountains too. Like for example the Appalachian mountains. Did you know the Appalachians are more that 6,000 feet high!

There is also hills.... rolling hills I should say they're EVERYWHERE! okay, not everywhere but lots of places.

The Southeast Region has many natural resources. Some include oranges, cotton, fish, peaches and peanuts.

Oranges are mostly grown in Florida...YUMMM citrus!

Cotton is grown in cotton farms. Our blue jeans are made of cotton.

Fish is VERY popular in the southeast region. You can catch many in the rivers.

Peaches grow in areas mostly around Georgia. They are VERY popular like fish and oranges in this region.

Peanuts grow on farms around Mississippi, Virginia, and Florida etc. I love peanuts. Did you know they are grown underground.

Economy/Jobs

The jobs in the Southeast regions are pretty cool. My FAVORITE job in the Southeast is... mining! You can mine for coal. Even though getting REALLY dirty and going under ground isn't my strong hobby.

Another job I wouldn't like is Farming. You can farm pigs, you can work on a cotton farm,and rice farms. You get LOTS of work done. Also, maybe it's fun, How much do you think they pay you?

The last job I will tell you about is Shipping. That is when you deliver things across the ocean...AWESOME! You get payed around, well if you work there for AT LEAST 20 years,you get payed around$32,000 on 53 salaries!

cities places to see

In the Southeast region there are many places to see.

One place that sounds super cool is the Great Smokey Mountain National Park. They are called Smokey mountains because when you go there, there is fog or what people call smoke because it looks like smoke.

The Southeast also has one of the most mentioned rivers...the Mississippi River.

The Appalachian Mountains seem cool to they look REAL big!
