Why do homeless people not go to shelters?
Hypothermia kills an estimated amount of 700 people experiencing, or at risk of homelessness each year. Many homeless individuals reject shelters due to mental reasons or the more common factor which is the bad things they hear about them. Some people believe they are safer on the street.

Young people suffering from chronic food deprivation are more likely to steal food or eat food thrown away by others. Most people who are homeless in fact do perfer to buy their food, and make choices about what they eat and when.

The last time the global survey was attempted by the United Nations in 2005 was an estimated amount of 100 million people were homeless WORLD WIDE. As many as 1.6 billion people lacked housing.
