Summary of Peter Pan:
Peter Pan is the story of a young boy who refuses to grow, and a young girl who awaits adulthood with excitement. At the beginning of the book, we are introduced to the Darling family, and their wonderful nurse, Nana. Wendy begins dreaming of Peter Pan, which causes her mother to be concern. Her mother’s concern is validated when Peter shows up one morning in the nursery, startling her, and leaving without her shadow. Mrs. Darling decides to put his shadow in a drawer, which he later returns to retrieve. When he does, Wendy is the one who sees him, and helps him sew his shadow back on. When Peter forgets to thank her, Wendy is distressed and determines to go back to sleep. Peter talks to her and is tempted to bring her back to Neverland when she mentions the many stories she knows.
Setting:
The setting of Peter Pan takes place in the magical Neverland, but its location is as mysterious as the island itself. Although some children flew to different locations. Its true location is found in the mind of children, and a child's mind has no boundaries at all. Although some children flew to different locations.
Theme:
The theme of Peter Pan is never wanting to grow up. Peter doesn't want grow because he is very childish, immature, and sometimes selfish. When Peter grows up he doesn't want to wear a tie,get a job,and he doesn't want to be responsible for the things he has or does.

Biography of J.M. Barrie:
Born on May 9, 1860, in Scotland, J.M. Barrie was a Scottish dramatist, best known for writing Peter Pan in 1904, or The Boy Who Would Never Grow Up. The son of Scottish weavers, he moved to London to pursue his interest in becoming a playwright. There he met the Llewelyn Davies boys who inspired his masterpiece. Based on Barrie's enchanting characters, Disney created the animated classic, Peter Pan, in 1953.
