throughout all aspects of their business. They do this using many small initiatives that add up to several hundred million dollars of savings annually. For example, one recent initiative is the simplification of materials for six countries in Central America. Colgate worked to make displays more standard, and reused materials for subsequent campaigns. This has reduced development time for graphic displays and advertisement by two months and therefore reduced costs by over 30%. Eventually Colgate hopes to apply this method to all regions in order to benefit from savings on a global scale.
