THE SAYYID DYNASTY

CONCLUSION

The Sayyid Dynasty was ruled by four different rulers for 37 years. It was one of the weakest dynasties of the Delhi Sultanate. It was succeeded by the Lodi Dynasty. No blood was spilt for the succession of the throne.Khizr Khan also didn't name himself the Sultan but only ruled under the name of a governor.

Mubarak Shah

Muhammad Shah was a nephew of Mubarak Shah. He ruled from 1434-1443

He was the nephew of Mubarak Shah

Khizr Khan was the governor of Multan under Firuz Shah Tuqhlaq. When Timur invaded India, Khizr Khan joined him. Timur appointed him the governor of Multan, Lahore. He then conquered the city of Delhi and started the rule of the Sayyids in 1414

Mubarak Shah was the son of Khizr Khan. He

took the throne in 1421. He was man of lund vision but the nobels and other powerful people in the society kept revolting against him.He was the son of Khizr Khan

Alam Shah was a weak ruler. In 1451 he surrendered Delhi to Bahlul Lodi.He
