- While serving with friendly foreign forces engaged in an armed conflict against an opposing armed force in which the United States is not a belligerent party
- Born 12 January 1982 in Bowling Green, KY.
- Enlisted April 2001 National Guard.
- 617th Military Police out of Kentucky National Guard.
- Took a break in service to be on the Nashville PD in 2009.
- Rejoined the National Guard in 2010.

- Convoy was attacked by over 30 insurgents.
- SGT Hester and her squad leader assaulted insurgents with grenades and cleared two trenches. Resulting with three enemy kills.
