Boy 21 is a powerful story mainly about 2 boys a girl and just the life of basketball. They are in their senior year of basketball and have been on the team since freshman year. A boy named Russ washington A.K.A Boy 21, came to the little city of bellmont and is threatening to take the 2 main characters starting spot on the team. His parents were murdered when boy 21 was at the age of 8 and was forced to live with his grandparents now the coach of the basketball teaam is attempting to recruit him to the highschool basketball.
Groves house rule #4 Maintain personal and academic integrity, I think that its this house rule because he had to keep up with his academics in school in order to stay on the team for 4 years straight, him and his girlfriend. They were always studying with each other to motivate each other to compete their work and stay on the team, boys and girls.

This story reminds me of the life of Stephen Curry back when he was a younger age when he was in highschool he met his girlfriend which is now his wife in highschool. Steph was an undersized point guard and became this huge star over the years. He showed everyone that size doesnt matter....at all, and in the book The boy is showing the same exact thing to everybody.
