Life History
One contribution is they helped Wisconsin's economy when the stalk market collapsed in the 1920's. Another contribution was to the United States they made their bikes more adaptable for the rugged Terrain during world war2. They also let women work in the factories in Wisconsin which other companies didn't let other Women do

Bill was born in 1880 and Arthur was born in 1881 they were born in the same town Milwaukee Wisconsin . They first started improving the motorcycle in the family basement. But then they had to move out in a shack in the back yard. Also they were joined by Bills brothers Walter and William Davidson who worked at the railroad car shop and brought much needed supplies to help them.

One interesting fact is they got the idea of improving the motorcycle when their weak bikes couldn't tackle hills after they went fishing. Another interesting fact about the motorcycle is they were even manufactured in Japan too. Also Harley Davidson has won multiple word cups with there motorcycles.
