FINAL MASTHEAD
The effects of a drop shadow and outer - glow were added to my design to make the text pop up off the page more. I also put it in a bright pink colour to appeal to my target audience and make it more eye catching and informal.
Masthead design ideas.
These are my masthead design ideas that I completed on PhotoShop.
I like how the first design is bold and eyecatching however I do not like the use of capitalisation for the P of the word, I think it looks too formal.
I feel as though the second one isn't striking enough and is also quite difficult to read so it is not a suitable font choice for the masthead.
The third design is my favourite as it is bold, eyecatching and informal all of which I desired for my masthead design.
I find the fourth to be far too formal for my design and looks similar to the 'VOGUE' masthead font which is a very popular fashion magazine.
The final design is very similar to the one I chose however I feel as though it looks slightly childish.

I have noticed from my research that existing pop magazines incorporate the word pop into their title, ‘We love Pop’, ‘Top of the Pops’. Therefore to make my magazine similar to these I think I should also use the word pop in my name.
Synonyms of Happy
I think sixteen sounds too much like a fashion or gossip magazine and it could narrow my audience as consumers may think it is strictly only for that age group.
I find that this name doesn't actually sound like a name it just sounds like a synonym of happy.

This is the name I had come up with before poptimistic, I would of planned to have the 'pop' in a different font or colour so that the genre of music would be clear.
This name is similar to Upbeat, i do like it however I do
