One thing I can say is, despite its violence (and sometimes even vulgar language), this book is just hilarious! James Patterson really is a great author, and I love every second of his books. You will, too, because I definitely recommend this novel to anyone 11 or over.
While doing all that other stuff, the gang is being attacked by vicious, wolf-like, whitecoat-wearing freaks named Erasers. One of those freaks happens to be Ari, Max's former seven-year-old sibling. It really saddens Max to see her bro keep calm and join the pork, I mean, wolf side.
It's also very surprising to see that one of those freaks with whitecoats happens to be Max's dad, Jeb!! The main reason the Erasers are attacking is this is all a test to see if Max has the capability of saving the world. It even says it at NYC in an outstanding toy store, some whatyoumacallit spells out in big letters: SAVE THE WORLD, MAX. Later, Max, Fang, Gasman, Iggy, Nudge, and Angel sneak into an ominous place called the Institute of Higher Living. It turns out Ari was there. In an epic battle, Max twists Ari's neck and kills him. As they escape, Jeb comes in and sees a dead Ari. He then yells, "You killed your own brother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
The main plot of this story is about six kids named Maximum, Fang, Iggy, Gasman, Nudge, and Angel. All of them have the ability to fly. Did I also mention they're orphans? They are trying to find out the secrets of their past and who their parents are.
Max is a very responsible and vows to watch over her siblings. Iggy is blind but can sense things pretty well. Fang is usually a calm person, but when it comes to epic battles and epic battle themes (another dumb pun), he's always ready, just like SB SP!
Nudge is basically just a normal girl who can fly (although flying humans aren't usually normal). Gasman is a lot like Iggy, only he can see. Lastly, Angel is a flying girl, but the best part: She can actually read and control minds! That is REALLY cool.
