Aristotle is a Greek philosopher. He divided organisms into 2 groups Plants and Animals. He divided animals into Blood and Bloodless and also divided animals according to how they moved Walking, Flying or swimming. People used his system into the 1600's
Andrea Caesalpino was a botanist that had a much different approach to classification of plants then Linnaeus. Inspired by Aristotle, Andrea made his classification on the seeds and fruits produced by the plants.

Linnaeus is so famous because he made the Linnaean Classification system, a system of classification that grouped together species based on their genetic structures and how they reproduced. He is also famous for writting Systema Naturae.
