Course Description:
In English 1302, students master persuasive/argumentative writing, critical analysis of reading selections (both essays and literature), and the research process. All elements of English 1302 require students to apply critical thinking and writing skills introduced in English 1301.
Textbooks:
Barnet, Sylvan. Current Issues and Enduring Questions: A Guide to Critical Thinking and Argument, with Readings.
Attendance:
Regular attendance is required. Students who have no record of attendance before the Census Date (the Official Day of Record) will be automatically dropped from the course by the Registrar’s department.
Students who are dropped for nonattendance will not be reinstated. HCCS policy states that a student who is absent more than 12.5% (6 hours) of class may be administratively dropped from the course.
