- Fifteen minutes later Amir sees Hassan coming toward him. He pretends he was looking for Hassan, who is crying and bleeding.
- He hands Amir the kite and neither boy speaks about what happened.
- When they arrive home, Baba hugs Amir, who presses his face into Baba’s chest and weeps.
