Job Specializations

Ancient Civilization: Art is a way to express thoughts and values of a civilization. Art and architecture was connected to religion because people built statues and temples to worship their Gods. Art and architecture also signified wealth in the ancient time. There were also some cases where art was used to impress visitors and people about the beauty and power of a king or a community.

Current Canadian Civilization: There are so many different ways art and architect is being used currently but the most obvious one would have to be art. Just art in general is a huge thing and has made an impact to the world so that is definitely and important part to the Canadian Civilization.

Government

Ancient Civilization: People started to specialize in jobs when they realized that no one could master every skill that is needed. This was a big step towards the beginning of social classes because some people specialized in jobs that would put them into the upper class and some were just never educated so that put them into the lower class.

Ancient Civilization: Government was needed because the food supply and irrigation systems needed to be maintained. If no one controlled the irrigation system the water would either run out or flood the city. But of course the most obvious reason why we need it is to keep everything in order and in place.

Religion

Current Canadian Civilization: There are different people who wants to do different things so I think Job Specialization is very very important to our current society.

Ancient Civilization: Back then religion was very important to people because it has told them what to do in their daily lives (ex. chores, offering for Gods, etc.). They also believed if they served the Gods well they would have a successful farming season. Art&Architecture and religion has connection when it comes to expressing their beliefs by building statues and temples. In fact a lot of the art back then were religious like temples, statues and paintings. Also people who serves the Gods were in a higher social class than anyone else.

Current Canadian Civilization: The same reasons with the ancient civilization. We need Government to keep things in order and to protect people and their rights. If we didn't have Government then everything would be out of control.

Current Canadian Civilization: Many people in our society don't believe in different types of religion. But for those who do religion gives them freedom from pain and releases them from fear. Religion is also a big part of some countries or communities.

Social Classes

Ancient Civilization: Social classes began to form as jobs became specialized. An educated person was much more respected than unskilled workers which put them into the high class category. Social classes show how much wealth a civilization has and different classes of jobs and salary.

Current Canadian Civilization: Same with ancient civilization social classes show how much wealth a civilization has and different classes of jobs and salaries.

Ancient Civilization: Ancient Cities started when people started farming and realized that they needed to settle together for more support. As their farming became more and more successful they started to grow extra food which increased the population of settlements. Later on these settlements grew into cities.

Current Canadian Civilization:

Cities are important because without them we would be living in small farming communities and that means there would be no advanced technologies because you don't really need them in small farming communities.

Ancient Civilization: The Government will assist and/or benefit the community by building walls to protect from attack, improving or fixing the irrigation system, build canals and bridges. This will improve the community itself and the people living there will feel more safe because of the wall around them that the government built for the whole community.

Current Canadian Civilization: Similar to the ancient civilization the government will assist and/or benefit the community by fixing things that need to be fixed and building things that needs to be built.

Numbers&Writing

Ancient Civilization: Numbers and letters were first created when people needed to keep records to keep accounts on the trade goods and food storage. Back then people used letters to communicate and to keep records.

Current Canadian Civilization: We use writing for many different purposes. We use it to express ourselves and our ideas and we also use it to communicate with others (obviously). Without numbers and writing we wouldn't be able to do anything to communicate with each other and I wouldn't be able to type this right now if it didn't exist,
