The groups' name
"Morat" is the surname of an ancestor of Alejandro Posada, exmember of Morat. The boys went to a farm on the outside of Bogotá called "La Morat,"; where the band did its first rehearsals. Before becoming known as Morat, its name was "Malta,"; which is the name of Juan Pablo Isaza's pet.
