The jean jacket style was washed and faded jean jackets. Jean jackets are still a popular fashion trend today.

Music in the 80s

The 1980s saw the emergence of pop, dance music and new wave. As the term disco fell out of fashion in the decade's early years, genres such as post-disco, Italo disco, Euro disco and dance-pop became more popular. Rock music continued to enjoy a wide audience. Some songs were just fads of the 80s, but others were so popular that they're still played today.

Muscle tees were very popular in the 80s and are still worn today.

Pet rocks were just grey stones bought at a builders supply store, though they were marketed as real pets.

These pants increased the popularity of break dancing, they were hugely successful in the 80s. Though, they are not as popular anymore

-Spandex Leggings

Though not as bright and colourful, we still see this fashion trend today.

-Hacky Sack

Hacky sack is a game played by kicking a sack with your feet and this was popular in the 80s,

-Leg Warmers

These became a fashion trend in the 80s and were usually warn by dancers to keep their muscles warm, they are till seen today
