The Rock Cycle
The Main Types of Rocks
How They Form
In the rock cycle there are three main types of rocks igneous rock, metamorphic rock, and sedimentary rock.
These rock all at one point get formed into each main important rock.Metaphoric rock gets its name from "meta" (change)
and "morph" (form). Igneous rock is a cristellene soild which forms directly from cooling magama.Sedimentary rock is small
pieces of sediment that are pushed together.Eventually all the rocks go through every single part of the rock cycle.
Sedimentary rock looks like layers of sediment, which it does have layers. Metaphoric rock are like sedimentary rocks, but
they have wavy layers instead of straight layers. Igenous rock looks like granite, and surprisingly it is. Usally it is black or
it has like a main clor with like dots or swirls of another color.
Sedimentary rock is formed by weathering and erosion, that push sediment into the ocean, it will just sit their, but over millions and millions of years the
sediment builds up and imcreases. Where then it gets deposited into layers by the wind carring along way until it sets it down into layers of sediment.
Which then is sedimentary rock. An example of sedimentary rock is sandstone. Metaphoric rock is formed by sedmintary rock being pushed under the surface and
being pushed down and down to the molten rocks material. Where it gets pushed together by heat and pressure and then becomes part of a volcano. Igenous rock is formed by metaphoric
rock becomeing active and then shooting out of the valcano. Where then it tumbles and cools down for millions of years. Then it turns into an igenous rock.
What it is About
You will be learning about the paths of procesces of rock . The rock cycle also never ends it goes on forever.
Another thing you will be learning is how these rocks get changed into the diffrent types of rocks and some intersting and amazing fun facts.
Some fun facts about the rock cycle are that the metaphoric rock marble is formed
from the sedimentary rock limestone.Another, fun fact is that metaphoric rock limestone is formed from
the igenous rock limestone. Some examples of igenous rock is granite, basalt, gabbro
obisdian, and pumice. Some examples of Metaphoric rock is marble, quartize, schist,
granulite, and slate. Some more examples of sedimentary rock is sandstone, mudstone,
flint, greywacke, and chalk. There are two diffrent types of igenous rocks one is
a instrusive igenous rock which solidfies benath Earth's surface. The other rock is a extrusive
igenous rock which solidfies at the surface. There can be shells and sand in a sedimentary
rock. Metaphoric rocks are usally formed deep below Earth's surface, that is during
a process such as moutain building. Also, metaphoric rock can be sedimentary or igenous
that have been transformed by heat, pressure or both. Did you also know that most ocean floor
is made of basalt. Finally, a another fun fact is that igenous rock continues to flow
out of Earth from chains of underwater volcanoes know as "mid-ocean ridge
