"Sweet Spot" of the Bat
The Sweet Spot is 17 cm from the end of the barrel, which is the top of the bat. If the ball is hit even just a point off it results in a sting or jarring of the hands and forearm, which can be very painful depending on the speed of the ball.

Swing weight affects the swing speed of the bat,but it also depends on the length and construction of the bat itself. Most players usually prefer lighter ones.
