A Timeline Of Thomas Edison's Amazing Life!

Thomas Edison was born today. He sure does have a very successful life ahead of him!

What a treat that Thomas Edison got married to Mary Stilwell on Christmas Day!

On Aug. 9, Thomas's wife Mary died, but two years later he remarried Mina Miller, who would be his wife until his death.

Thomas Edison invents the incandescent light bulb. There was a another man that invented a different light bulb that couldn't be on for a long time. Thomas's could be on for a long time, so his light bulb was the most successful.

Thomas Edison invents the phonograph, or a machine that makes music. This invention was his favorite. His phonograph was the start of all music making devices, such as the Ipods we use today. Edison would be amazed at what we use to listen to music today.

Thomas creates his new company, an electric light company. His company was very busy because everyone wanted the new light bulb.

Somewhere in this year Thomas Edison saved a young three year old boy from the train tracks when he was just about to get hit. For his reward, Thomas got telegraph lessons from the boy's father.

Henry Ford asked Thomas to design a battery that would be used on the Model T and other cars.

Thomas Edison dies at age 94. He had a very busy and eventful life. His light bulb was so popular that he was busy producing them at his company for many years.
