3. evaluation of the effectiveness of the learning experiences; and

4. improvement of the learning experiences in order to achieve the desired outcome.

THE SCOPE OF EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY

  • (by Lucido, 1997) is the development , application, and evaluation of systems, technique, , and aids to improve the process of human learning.
  • (Association for Educational Communication and Technology) is the theory and practice of design, development, utilization, management, and evaluation of processes and resources for learning.
  • (Hoffman, 1994-2009, as cited by www.books.google.com) is a systematic, iterative process for designing instruction or training used to improve performance.

1. Instructional Technology- are primarily concerned with instruction or the teaching-learning process rather than the design and operation of educational institutions.

2. Instructional Media- are the means of communication available for educational purposes other than the teacher.

3. Instructional Aids- the term aids emphasize the assistance or help of the instructional media in bringing out an effective teaching-learning situation.

4. Audiovisual Aids- are materials for instruction that employ the use of the sense of sight, hearing or a combination of these modalities.

5. Instructional Materials- are the tools or equipment used by the teachers as media to aid in the teaching-learning process.
