When do we use a present perfect?

1. Something has started in the past and is still going on.

So, present and past! (Past present)

My brother has lived in Italy since last February.

When do we use a present perfect?

2. Something happened in the past but its result is important now.

The result is the most important part!

She has passed her driving test.

3. When you talk about an experience (ervaring).

The time is not important!
