The comedian's badge, the smiley face with blood pattern, which is a recurring symbol in the comic. It appears on the first and last page, and also shows in many times during the story as a key element.whether at the scene when comedian dies, the ground at mars or the last page. The blood stain on the badge represent the minute hand of a clock, and it is pointing at 12 minutes to hour, particularly it is the position that the Doomsday clock shows in the comic, and it is foreshadowing the "Midnight", the world ends.

The Doomsday clock is based on the real-world Doomsday clock, it represents the close to the end
of the world. In the comic the Doomsday clock shows on the every first page of each chapter, and ticking 1 minutes for after one chapter until the story reaches the end, the "Midnight", which represent the towards ending ,the disaster of the society, and the world.

Rorschach's mask
This phrase has been showing many times in the story, it is most often shows as graffiti. And it never shows complete, it doesn't have a answer whether is a person or a physical thing. As one of the main clause in the comic, I think this is a question is the artist asking the reader for the answer. Who is the person will control all this power ? The government or the citizens?
The mask is the significant symbol of Roschasch, it seems a white fabric with black ink. The silhouette on Rorschach's mask are repeated a lot of times during the comic, he uses the ink blot to illustrates the view he sees in the world, including his past memories and experiences . He compares existence to the chaos of the ink blot, saying, “Existence is random. Has no pattern save what we imagine after staring at it for too long. No meaning save what we choose to impose” . So that is what he think about the world which reflects on his face, that is Rorschach.
