Population of Spring Hill

The population pyramid shape for my town would be rectangular. The literacy rate here is very close to 100% and there are medical care facilities readily available to the people here. There is abundant labor for the people here allowing for economic stability for the majority.

My Predictions

Uganda :

• Uganda is in for a future that will be dreary. With the nations low female literacy rates and high fertility rates its' population is growing rapidly with the majority of its' citizens being dependent. In some way the government will have to make up for the young population and that will require money and funding until that youth can join the workforce. Until the nation can atone for the large number of dependent individuals within its' society the nation will continue to lose money and be an ares of suffering for all.

Iceland:

• This population will continue to grow at a moderate pace. This is to the benefit of the nation and its government since with the steady population growth, no compensation by the government is needed for dependent individuals as it is in Uganda.

Future Pyramids

Hungary:

• The population growth in this nation will have positive effects on the nation, but only much later. Due to the continued population decline there will be an overall smaller number of dependents present. In the distant future the elderly population would completely outnumber the young. It is this shift of population from being mostly young to mostly older that will force the government to introduce programs to care for the elderly such as nursing homes, that will be costly.

The pictures of the graphs bellow are very blurry when magnified. I am sorry for this, all three graphs were done by hand. My scanner is out of order at the moment so I took pictures with my phone and sent the pictures to my computer where I inserted them here. Sadly the picture quality isn't what I would like. If its necessary I will send you all 3 graphs via text message. Again sorry for the poor quality pictures.

• In five years the population pyramids will not change dramatically, and will look fairly similar to the charts presented now.
• After 10 years the results will vary. Uganda's pyramid will continue to grow rather rapidly. The young population will continue to be the majority over the older population even with ten years passing. Iceland's pyramid will not change drastically, but there will be a discreet change, in that the young population will remain constant while the older population will suddenly and sharply increase. Hungary's pyramid will appear to be smaller slightly on the bottom, due to the fact that it;s population will continue decreasing.
• After 25 years, Uganda's pyramid will seem the same, but due to the country's rapid growth the population will sharply increase. Iceland's pyramid will begin to resemble a pentagonal shape, which means that its' experiencing a decrease. As for Hungary's pyramid , it will be of a far more prominent pentagonal shape. In this nation the older population will completely hold the majority over the younger population.

Differences and Similarities

It is clear by the population pyramids that these three nations differ from on another greatly. The triangular shape of Uganda's population pyramid indicates that the nation is in rapid growth. The wide - bottomed triangular shape of Iceland's population pyramid reveals that it is undergoing a moderate growth rate. The pentagonal shape of Hungary's population pyramid indicates that the nation has a declining population. All the graphs depict the populations in males and females. The population's of Hungary and Iceland are shown in thousands where as Uganda's population is shown in millions. All the nations have larger number of young people , especially Uganda.
