When finalized you will read them to your class.

We will then have a discussion about each poem and the meaning behind them.

Facts About Haikus

A Haiku poem has three lines.

The first line has five syllables

the second has seven syllables

the third line, has five syllables.

Together it is 17 syllables

Usually a Haiku poem is about nature or seasons.

A haiku poem does not rhyme.

The haiku poem creates

two clear images because

the poem changes from

the original image.
