B= Big bang

The big bang is the rapid expansion of matter that created universe

A= Air mass

an Air mass is a large volume of air that has the same temperature, humidity, and pressure at the same altitude.

C= Comet

A comet is an object is space that has a nucleus consisting of ice and gas. The comets tail always faces away from the sun.

W= Wavelength

The wavelength is the distance between the crest of two waves

D= Divergent boundary

A divergent boundary is where two tectonic plates move away from each other.

A volcano is a mountain or a hill having a vent which lava can be erupted.

X= Galaxy

V= Volcano

Y= Mercury

A galaxy is a system of millions of stars held together.

Mercury is the smallest planet and is closest to the sun.

E= Ellipse

An ellipse is an oval shape.(shape of earths rotation around the sun)

S= Subduction

Subduction is the sideways and downward movement of a plate sinking under another

An umbra id the fully shaded inner region of a shadow cast by and object.

R= Rift valley

Z= Ozone layer

a rift valley is a large depression with steep walls.

U= Umbra

The ozone layer protects earth from the suns harmful U.V radiation.

F= Fault

A fault is a crack in earths surface. Faults are associated with boundary and tectonic plates.

T= Tectonics

Tectonics ore a large scale processes of affecting the earths crust

G= Gas Giant

A gas giant is a large outer planet of low density. The gas giants are composed of hydrogen and helium.

An earthquake is a sudden and violent shaking of the ground.

Q=Earthquake

The neap tide occurs after

the 1st or 3rd quarter moon

where the tides are the lowest.

N= Neap Tide

M= Mid-ocean ridge

An orbit is the cured path of a moon around a planet, or planet around the sun

O= Orbit

A mid-ocean ridge is a long deep part in an ocean basin.

A hot spot is a region with a lot of volcanic activity and earthquakes.

H= Hot Spot

K= Rock

A rock is a solid material forming earths surface.

Igneous Rocks

Igneous rocks are formed by cooling lava or magma. Igneous rocks are one of the three main classification of rocks.

Pangaea is the super continent that broke apart millions of years ago.

L= Lithosphere

The lithosphere is the ridged outer part of the earths crust.

P= Pangaea

J= Jet stream

A jet stream is a narrow, strong westerly wind current.
