  • 5th Century B.C - Greeks would enjoy a dessert that is not ice-cream, but it was similar.
  • 1300 - Marco Polo brings back recipe of ice cream to America
  • 1904 - Waffle cone was first introduced in St. Louis Mo
  • 1984 - July was then declared national ice - cream month.

Process/Manufacture

  • Whole milk - from the cows
  • Sugar - Can come from the stems of sugarcane's, and roots of sugar beet.
  • egg yolks- from chicken
  • salt - produced by a mineral composed of sodium chloride.
  • Heavy cream - whip cream.

Work Cited

The ingredients are mixed sugar to create the liquid.

The mix is pasteurized, homogenized and aged.

The ice cream is then placed in desired container, and frozen, then shipped to stores for purchase.

Ice cream is then bought in supermarkets, restaurants, or basically anywhere. Ice cream is a delicious edible treat for anyone at any age.

Once the ice cream is all consumed, the container can be reused to make new ice cream (if you make ice cream at home) or you can recycle the container and use it for a new purpose.
