How to Prepare for Migration?
1. Back up your myBB forum data
2. Install WP plugin bbPress
3. Set up custom URL structure for WP
4. Find FTP access details for WordPress
Migration Setup
1. Install Necessary Plugin
Go to WordPress Plugin Directory
and download MyBB to bbPress Convertor.
Download the plugin to your local PC;
Then extract the folder from the zip file;
Install this plugin to your WordPress site.
2. Plugin Installation
Go to Admin -> Plugins,
find “CMS2CMS MyBB to bbPress Convertor”
and press install now and activate it.
3. Registration
Register CMS2CMS account.
Just specify your email address and password.
Press Continue button.
4. Set Up Your Source
and Target Sites
Select your current and new CMS types
Enter URL addresses of both forums
5. Select Migration Preferences
Activate the following migration options:
- migrate media,
- make URLs SEO friendly,
- clear Target website data,
- get design suggestion.
Start Full Migration
In case you are absolutely satisfied with the results
of Demo - Start Full Migration.
After the click, your myBB content
will be imported to bbPress.
