fact or opinion

"if you climb the top of the peach tree you can get a wish and the wish will come true" i think this is an opinion because it is kind of an old wives tale in japan

a hard word to say

there isnt really any hard words to say but a reasonably hard word to say is shogahama. Shogahama is a village in japan

i survived the japanese tsunami of 2011

summary

after his dads tragic death Ben is visiting his dads hometown Shogahama for four months. Ben and his family are in for quite a surprise when a very powerful tsunami hits Shogahama destroying his uncles house (where he is staying). Ben and his family get in a car and try to drive from the wave but get swept in it his mom , his brother, his uncle and Ben all get thrown out of the car getting separated in different directions. Ben finds a plank floating in the water. So he climbs up on it and also finds his uncles cat . So he and his uncles cat find land and they see a school at the top they climb up it and get to the school and he see in the gym a whole bunch of other families and people alone. after that he noticed he wasn't alone. He obviously ha wounds from being thrown around and a doctor that speaks English fixes him up and asks him to watch the children playing outside he saw a couple kids playing basket ball and asks if he could take a shot. so he winds up to take the shot and he hears a voice. a small voice. a voice he knows and remembers. its his brother Harry and his mom and uncle behind him. his brother yells "Ben!" and hugs him after that his family and him go back to America and they ask his uncleif he wants to come and live with them but he says no and says he wants to live in japan

what does this book remind you of

this book reminds me of other disasters like typhoon Hiyan and other natural disasters because the tsunami destroyed almost the whole village and most of the natural disasters destroy everything in its path
