Hellenism was during the Hellenistic Age in Europe where art was heavily influenced by Greek culture because of Alexander the Great's conquer of the Persian Empire. Art during this time was based on Greek ideals of perfect proportions and classical realism. Famous works during the Hellenistic Age included the "Parthenon" and the "Alter of Zeus at Pergamon".
In 653 B.C.E., art in India, China, and Japan began to popularize. With a serene and calm feel to their art, they brought attention towards their unique art pieces. India painted colorfully unlike others during the time due to their wide range of pigments while China specialized in bronze sculpting, calligraphy, and jade carving. As for Japan, they made art for Buddhist temples such as statues and various painting alongside with zen ink painting and yamato-e and ukiyo-e painting.
The Renaissance took place in Italy during the late 14th century. This art movement signaled the revival of European art after the Dark Ages where the Plague, Hundred Years War, and the Reformation hit Europe. Because of the dark times, artists during the time began to appreciate art and developed a love for drawing. They also mostly focused on realism and tried to make some sense of reality in their art. This led to numerous still life drawings, portraits, and landscape drawings.
The Bronze Age was from 3000 B.C.E. to 1200 B.C.E. around the Mediterranean in the Near East. During this time period was when there was an emergence of new cities, development of more advanced tools, and discovery of new materials. Because of that, bronze was invented to create many interesting art pieces such as the "Ram in the Thicket".
Like everything else in life, there are those who are against my topic and ideas. The main suspects would be people who are uninformed of art history and/or believe that art is just something shallow without knowledge that there is much more to art than just appearances.
My topic is the evolution of art which is about how art has transformed over time characterized by the many art movements. What I would like to explain to my audience is that art has changed in several ways and not only in appearance but also its purpose.
My feelings towards my topic about the evolution of art is that I am glad to share information about it to people who might not know anything about art and its history of development. I also think that the evolution of art is a very interesting topic since one can distinguish the different art styles according to its era and associate it with the overall feelings of the people during its time.
Art began roughly during the Stone Age which lasted from 30,000 B.C.E. to 2,500 B.C.E. People throughout this period mostly made sculptures out of stone of the deities they worshiped such as the fertility goddess. They were also skilled at cave paintings where they told stories and events that happened during their time using berries and other materials as pigments.
The most recent and current art evolution stage would be contemporary art which bloomed in the 1970s and still continues on today. The idea of contemporary art is to take mix and match existing art styles and reshaping them into a unique art style. This led to the increase use of mixed media and various art forms.

The next stage of the evolution is modern art which started in the late 1800s and began with the appearance of impressionists. They created a new type of art that steered away from traditional art where they painted directly on canvases without rough sketches and had the goal of creating the overall perception or impression of their subjects. Another part of modern art is expressionism where artists conveyed their personal interpretation of their subjects instead of depicting it in its real form such as the painting "The Scream" by Edvard Munch. To add on, cubism was also a huge part of modern art where it explored the two-dimensional world by giving different views of the same subject by overlapping fragments like in many of Picasso's paintings.
