What are the differences between a human and cow eye?

The Structure

Size

The cow eye has a rough 15 mm radius, while the human eye has a wide variety, but is roughly 24 mm in radius. However, in the cow eye, everything is larger than it is in the human eye.

Iris

The cow eye only has one possible color, brown. But the human eye on the other hand has multiple possible colors, such as blue, green, and brown.

Pupil

In the cow's eye, the pupil is an ovular hole. While in the human eye, the pupil is a circular hole. They both do the same thing, which is let light into the retina though.

The Placement

Cow eyes are on the sides of thier faces, so they can see behind them more. Humans eyes are in the front of the face, so we see more things ahead of us.

The inside

Tapetum

The cow eye has a tapetum, which is a reflective layer inside the eye. It helps the cow see at night. The human eye does not have a tapetum.

Muscles

The cow eye only has four muscles, which allows it to only move its eye up and down and left and right. In the human eye, we have 6 muscles, so we can look in a full circle without turning our head.

What colors can they see?

A cows eye can see the same colors we do, and also has three types of cones in their eyes, blue, green, and red. But their sense of color isn't as advanced as ours.
