Robotic machines will be used to replace
humans in various military tasks and combat acts in war. They will be able to work in harsh conditions, like extreme heat or cold. Unlike humans they will be able to work in chemically, biologically radiologically contaminated environments. The robots will be more lethal, mobile and will be able to survive better than humans.
Artificial and bionic muscles and limbs
used to help people who have lost arms or legs.
Machines you can wear to overcome human limitations,
like how far you can run or jump. They will be able to increase your strength, speed and will enable large weapons to be carried in war.
Humanoid robots are built to be just like humans. They are made of bulding blocks like cells in the human body and are able to be combined in different ways.

Robots For Help
In the next 40 years the number of pensioners will increase by 2 billion worldwide. Robots will be used to help elderly members of the family. They'll be able to transport objects from one room to another and will be able to tell people what medication they need to take and when to take it.
Electronics and appliances will be able to communicate with eachother and perform various different tasks. Your refrigerator will be able to suggest what snack you should eat based on the ingrediants in the fridge and then it will communicate with the microwave or cooker so that your snack would be made without you having to do anything.
The Nokia Home Control Centre - a phone that will be able
to comtrol equipment in the household.
Living rooms, kitchens and dining rooms will be digital. Automated devices will be able to tell the elderly what medication they should be taking.
The Electrolux Screenfridge - a fridge with a touch sensitive screen fitted on the door. This will be able to tell you ideas of what to make for meals based on the ingrediants in the fridge. It will also store a family calender, shopping lists, and a small video camera to record video messages. It will be connected to the internet, a web-based telephone, televison and radio.
The Future of Air Travel
The 'Aeroscraft'. This new airplane requires less net space on the ground and takes off and lands like a helicopter. It contains 14 million cubic feet of helium hoist and as a much more aerodynamic body which is the length of about two football fields.
New Energy Sources
New energy sources and meterials will be used to power cars. Less polluting energy like Hydrogen powered fuel, electic cars and compressed air will be used. Regenerative braking will also to used with saves and stores energy. 'Self-drive' vehicles will also be used on the roads and railways.
Cars of the future
Cars will be able to shape-shift, be powered by solar power and use artifical intelligence. They will use molecular engineering. The 'Slipstream' car is built on two wheels and is comfortable for users. It takes up only 1/5 of the space on the road and can hover off the ground at up to 250 mph.
