Quote

Columbus first voyage is considered one of the most important voyages in history. But many question that because he actually failed miserably the goal of this voyage was to find a shorter trade route to China. That is not what he accomplished at all.

Many were expecting for Columbus to bring back goods from China to prove his discovery. But really the only things that he had brought back was little things and some slaves from Hispanolia. Which would have made his trip unsuccessful.

Over everything Columbus had thought that the slaves were his greatest find. Columbus had thought that he might have found a new slave trade route, which would have made his voyage successful. But the queen later on rejected the New World to slave trading.
