How are they helpful?

Locusts are usually considered pests. However they help as well.Locusts are useful to scientists, they are great subjects for research. Locusts also provide animals with food and the help control weed.

How are they Harmful?

Locusts are also more harmful than helpful. Most locusts are quite dangerous. Some locusts have caused plagues and famine.Most locusts eat all of our food crops.

Also locust can disguise themselves in vegetation because some are green. Some can also shed a leg if needed

A locust's life begins when an adult locust lays eggs. Then a young instar develops.

After about 5 weeks it becomes an adult and lays eggs.

Where do they live?

Most locusts such as the desert locusts live in Africa,Middle East and Asia. They inhabit about 60 countries.
