Introduction to True Colors
The purpose of TRUE COLORS is to better understand your own personality more fully while appreciating similarities and differences in others.
FIND OUT YOUR TRUE COLOR:
Complete the worksheet, ranking each group of words from one (1) NOT like you through four (4) MOST like you.
The Four True Colors
- Relationship Oriented
"One hundred years from now, it will not matter what my bank account was, how big my house was, or what kind of car I drove. But the world may be a little better, because I was important in the life of a child." - Forest Witcraft
- Structure Oriented
"The time is always right to do what is right." Martin Luther King, Jr
- Cognitive Oriented
"That's what learning is, after all; not whether we lose the game, but how we lose and how we've changed because of it and what we take away from it that we never had before, to apply to other games. Losing, in a curious way, is winning." -Richard Bach
- Impulse Oriented
"One that would have the fruit must climb the tree." -Thomas Fuller
Working with BLUES

Provide them with opportunities to use their communication skills
Points to Remember:

The colors you do not choose will have some characteristics that are representative of you; however, it is not your preferred style.
True Colors is valuable for improving your effectiveness in working with others; however, as a short, self-reported assessment it is not 100% accurate.
