Steven Yeun became interested in acting and improv during his freshman year Kalamazoo. He told his parents that he want to pursue an acting career in Chicago instead of enrolling in law school or medical school. Even though his parents weren't happy with his decision, they supported him.

Steven Yeun played hockey, football, and basketball. He said that he would be really interested in such activities but lose interest often. He was never involved in plays during high school. He was more involved with music. Steven claims that the show has changed him. He's rarely outside his house because he thought that his insecurities were magnified since the whole world watched him on television.
Early Life
Steven Yeun was born in Seoul, South Korea. His family moved to Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada before he moved to Michigan. He was raised in Michigan as a Christian. Steven Yeun received a bachelor's degree for psychology from Kalamazoo College.
