Genghis Khan vs.

Alexander the Great

Have you ever wondered what Genghis khan and Alexander the Great have in common? Even though they weren't in the same time period, Genghis~ 1155-1227 and Alexander~ 358 BCE- 323 BCE, they still had many similarities. But they were not the same people, so they also had their differences. Each Genghis Khan and Alexander the Great did different things to be remembered throughout history. They came from different families and different backgrounds.

Conclusion

Genghis Khan and Alexander the Great came into power, and used their power differently and in some ways the same. For example Genghis Khan was the head of the Borjigin tribe because his father was in the tribe before he pasted away, while Alexander the Great became King because his mother and father were King and Queen. Even though you may not think of Alexander the Great and Genghis Khan being similar, they are in some ways.

Genghis Khan and Alexander the Great came

into power different ways. Genghis Khan came into power by defeating many armies and dynasties. Genghis also built the largest empire in the world,the Mongol Empire. While Alexander the Great came to be king through his parents, which were king and queen of Macedonia. Alexander also got respect/ power through conquering some of Greece. Both Alexander and Genghis gained respect for being great warriors and being a head of a military.

The early life for Genghis Khan and Alexander

the Great were different and similar in many ways. One difference was that Genghis Khan was born and raised in Mongolia, while Alexander the Great was born and raised in Macedonia. Both Genghis and Alexander were raised by royalty, Alexander's father was King Phillip II and Genghis' father was a member of the Borjigin tribe.

While in power Genghis Khan was named the greenest invader in history because his conquests killed so many people that huge areas of cultivated land returned to forest, and Alexander the Great's conquests furthered the spread of Greek ideas and customs in western Asia and in Egypt. One thing Genghis and Alexander had in common was they helped shape some of modern society. They both made the world better at that time they were in power.
