-step1: Be ready to expose your ideas without excessive fear of having them stolen

-" so to anyone who feels their idea has been ripped off, chances are it has'nt. if you think hollywood stole your idea, maybe what you need to think about is having another idea."

- Ian Gurvitz

-"hollywood does not steal. Hollywood copies, imitates, panders, and plagiarizes, rips off and robs, but hollywood does not steal ideas for one and one reason only- its not ethical"

-Ian Gurvitz

-step2: Confront the ethical situations that are likely to occur in acquiring and creating material

When someone says he would like to work with you

When together you explore how an

idea might be developed

Regular meetings to flash out the concepts

When a development executive puts the project into development

When all parties sign a contract

It takes a lot of time to produce a film.

It may takes weeks, months or even

a year from its pre-prod to

its premiere.

What is the approximate

time to film one whole movie?

What if the producer wants to work the film at the shortest time possible?

What are the problems that might encounter in a quick production?

How can you manage the timetable of your production?

SELLING

VIDEO GAME PRODUCERS AND CREATORS

A video game producer is the person in charge of overseeing and funding development of a video game

The main role of an actor is to ACT, not just ACT but to ACT with authority.

Before an artist gets a specific role he/she needs to meet the casting director first, but there are circumstances that some artist does not undergo this process anymore, instead certain roles are given to them.

If an actor is a major A-LISTER player, role choices don’t always present themselves as option.

“it`s not, like, a romantic situation. It`s more, like, technical and choreographed and less … it`s more of a task.”

Mass Media Law and Ethics

How does someone become a super sales person?

How aggressive do you have to be?

How ethical do you have to excel at making sale with just the right amount of HYPE?

The lesson, that is, of the auteurs films of Guillermo Arriaga and Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu is shockingly simple: Get over yourself and allow other people to make you better than you'd be on your own.

- Terrence Rafferty

ACTORS AND ETHICS

Things to consider when producing a short film

A list celebrities

Leonardo De Caprio

Director Alejandro Gonzales Inarritu and Writer Guillermo Arriaga

But the others are accepting controversial roles for the sake of stardom or for the sake of art.

But some actors refuse to play roles or appear films that include some scenes that is ethically unacceptable to them.

- funding -location

-casting -pre production

-schedule - post production

-musical scoring

Without the portrayals of these

actors and actresses the outcome

of theses films wouldn't be tremendously

iconic.

Ethics and a writer's creative process

Peter Tolan questioned what had happened in the concept of acting.

Directors choices

Directors are constantly faced with having to make compromises.

Directors have to walk a fine line between doing the best job possible to remain employable while facing budget pressures as well as demands from actors, crew members, producers, development executives, and financiers.

Director also finds themselves at a loss in terms of knowing exactly where the power lies.

Ethical Dilemma

An ethical dilemma is a complex situation that often involves an apparent mental conflict between moral imperatives, in which to obey one would result in transgressing another.

summary:

Satoshi Tajiri

A movie production company wants to make a film based on a newspaper report of a man convicted of raping his granddaughter. The producer and director interview the girl and her mother, assuring them that the film will be tastefully done. But when the women turn up for the screening, they are dismayed to find their story turned into a sexploitation flick called "Lust for Flesh." They leave the cinema halfway, feeling they have been violated all over again.

WHAT IS A VIDEO GAME PRODUCER TO DO TO CAPTURE NEW GAMERS?

A PRODUCERS DILEMMA ON LOYALTY

-Writers are quickly replaced if anything goes wrong.

-There are times that whenever something goes wrong, even if it is not the writers' fault, the blame will be his.

ROAD MAP:

1. A producer with a good reputation but with a lmited track record puts up his own money to option a book.

2. The producer attaches the writer to the project following an extensive search for the best writer.

3.The producer receives a lukewarm of response to the writer from a number of studio executives.

4. The producer perseveres.

5. The optioned book becomes a hot property.

6. The studio head asks the producer to come in and lay out an approach to the story.

7. The producer has been suggested that he/she replaces the writer but sticks with the writer.

8. The producer works with the writer for an approach.

9. The writer accompanies the producer to the presentation but the pitch was not good enough.

10. The producer works with the writer again to further develop the pitch.

11. At the subsequent pitch, the writer didn't show much effort and appears bored and uninterested during the presentation.

12. A studio executive tells the producer he'll put the project under development, but with a different writer but the producer disagrees.

13. The producer renews the option on the book.

14. The agent tells the producer that a meeting with the studio executives can no longer be set, unless the writer is replaced.

15. The producer explores independent financing with the same writer.

16. The producer asks the writer to split the option cost with her. The writer refuses.

INTERACTIVITY IS THE KEY

ETHICS IN GAME DESIGN BY DEAN TAKAHASHI

WHAT ROLE DO ETHICS PLAY IN THE MIX?

PRODUCERS' FEUDS

"PICK A COMPETITION."

"You can't be any good... if you don'have any enemies."

"Fake Feuds are often calculated as gossip making the competition more intense."

"BE A MAN."

"The 'feud' benefts one producer if he or she takes more offensive with regards to progress and art."

“The ethics of game design has entered a new era in which the developers offer the players ethical choices of their own”

- Dean Takashi
