HOW WAS IT?
This project was useful and fun. The skype sessions were amusing: we had a great time when we could see and chat to the French partners. The project gave us the chance to put English into practice and to meet some foreign students and learn something about their country, their school and their lifestyles. Moreover, the book (and the movie based on it) turned out to suit our course of studies because of the universal themes it deals with (friendship, solidarity, sacrifice, racism)
The French (36 pupils) and we (30 students) were asked to write a piece of creative writing. We were able to choose one title among these and took a fortnight to carry the task out.
The French teacher chose the 10 best writings by her students. An Italian teacher of English now based in Switzerland chose our best 10 writings.
Finally a poll was created in the Twinspace and the French students voted for the best Italian writing and we voted for the best French one.
The winners were Clara T (French) and Diletta R (Italy) who received gifts from Italy and France respectively. The Italian winner wrote an editorial about friendship. The French winner rewrote the story about Lennie and George in today's Europe.
After being divided into pairs or small groups, we did a History project, in Italian and in English, under Teacher Menegazzo's and Teacher Novello's guidance; we created documents and power point presentations in which topics related to the book and movie "Of mice and men" were dealt with. The History projects were presented to the French students during the third skype session we had. You can see the history projects by clicking on this link.

On January 18th, the French students visited an exhibition on the American photographer Dorothea Lange in Paris. On the museum's website
(http://www.jeudepaume.org/?page=article&idArt=3017) you can see 20 photographs, 14 of which were shot during the Great Depression.
On a second Skype video call, the French partners told us about this school trip and they made a power point presentation that can be seen in the twinspace (https://twinspace.etwinning.net/files/collabspace/3/53/153/78153/files/bd1057f3e.mp4)

The students of class Première L of Lycée D’Arsonval Saint Maure De Fossé, on the outskirts of Paris, and 3I students of High School Galileo Galilei Dolo (Italy) have worked on an eTwinning project together with the following teachers: Anne-Laure De Lord (French teacher of English) and Antonella Novello (Italian teacher of English).
At first, each student created his/her own profile inside the Twinspace online platform and then, through a Skype video session with the French student, every student presented herself/himself. Then, the Italian and French students exchanged questions and answers that can be seen by clicking on this link.
