Points Of View

The overall significance of the 19th Amendment would be that women had so many more advantages and opportunities. This was very important, mostly to women, because they could vote and have many other things to do outside other than voting!

Heading back to my thesis statement, "Women did things such as march and lecture, which led to the 19th Amendment, resulting in women having many more privileges than they did before." women pushed hard to have privileges they hoped to gain. Like the statement above, "Beginning in the mid-19th century, several generations of woman suffrage supporters lectured, wrote, marched, lobbied, and practiced civil disobedience to achieve what many Americans considered a radical change of the Constitution."

I think that the most helpful website would be the 1st and 4th cites

because they gave lots of useful information about people and the subject.

I think that the picture of women wanting to vote on a postage stamp (2nd cite) was the most interesting because it was kind of like propaganda - people are advertising for women's rights.

I believe that the 19th Amendment was a good thing, and I'm glad that women back then stood up for what they believed in. Also, I kind of like having women (and not JUST men) being involved in things like politics.

Another point of view would be that of Carrie Chapman Catt. She was part of a women's suffrage movement, and, along with Susan B. Anthony, was one of the first women to try for women's rights. She gave speeches to try and promote voting rights.

Causes Of The 19th Amendment

- Women had the rights to vote, have an education, and work more than just in the home

- Now nearly every year, more women then men vote in elections each year

- Women's political influence is much higher

I think that the most important effect of the 19th Amendment would be that women had so many more privileges.

Thesis Statement

- Many women knew that voting was a big part of democracy, and they wanted to be part of it

-Because they wanted that right, they did many things to get their way

- Mainly, the whole point of this is that women just wanted to vote

I think the cause that is most important is women wanting to vote, because that is what caused and led to the 19th Amendment being created.

What Is The 19th Amendment?

Women did things such as march and lecture, which led to the 19th Amendment, resulting in women having many more privileges than they had before.

The 19th amendment is basically giving women rights, such as voting and having an education. This happened because back in the 19th century, women suffrage promoters worked hard to make a big change in the Constitution. That change would make women across the states able to vote.
