Kelo v. New London was a dispute against the city of New London on the grounds that they were seizing private property for private use, as stated by the landowners, to increase tax revenue and job count. The homeowners filed a suite against New London on the grounds they were violating the fifth amendment.
The Verdict of the case "Kelo v. New London" was a 5 to 4 vote in favor of New London stating that the land was seized for public economic growth and was constitutional.
