Millicent Min-Girl Genius

By: Lisa Yee

THE END

Summary

Millicent Min is 11 1/2 years old and is going to collage. There, she expects collage to be a carefree place, much better than high school. Turns out, its just like a high school but bigger. Her mom thinks she doesn't have any friends so she signs Millicent up for volleyball even though Millient is terrible at sports. To add on to her gone wrong summer, she has to teach her empty headed enemy Stanford Wong, a jock who might fail 6th grade. All seems to get better when she meets Emily, but then their friendship turns around when Emily discovered a secret that Millicent has kept away from her. Can her summer get any worse?

All over mistake

First mistake

Deeper Meaning

(WARNING:this content is not from book)

Kind of forgets to tell Emily she's beyond average...

"Dad," I replied, attempting to let him down gently, "I know it was you who took my central incisor. Now may I please have it back? I'd like to study it under my microscope."

I tried to return the money. Of course, he refused the silver dollar and unconvincingly denied any knowledge about what I was talking about. A heated debate resulted and in the end I was once more in possession of my tooth, which I still have to this day.

A kind of all-most mistake

Though things aren't what you wish for and aren't going the way you want to(like tutoring a guy that is your enemy) things will get better!!!

Second mistake

"You're Alice X. Eber, the journalist?" I squawked. I was a great fan of hers and was especially moved by her series in the Atlantic monthly on child labor.

"Millicent, this is not about your brain." I tried to get her to lower her voice, but she was not cuing in on my subtle hand signals. "I'm mad at you because we were supposed to be friends!........blah blah blah. "Millie, you didn't misudge our relationship, you misjudged me," she cut me short ," Can't you just shut up and say you're sorry you lied without making a bunch of hooey?"
