wye delta conversion in Carding machine
- done with the operation of some induction motors in the plant.
- induction motors run by a 3 phase 440V AC supply
- A high torque is needed for the induction motor to start. So initially the load is run with a wye connection.
- Afterwards the wye connection is converted to delta connection.

- Compressor: leads to higher pressure of the gas which further leads to higher temperature of the gas.
- Condenser: pressurized gas is passed through cooling coils. The liquid condenses from its gaseous to liquid state.
- Thermal Expansion Valve: Reduces pressure of the liquid. makes low pressure and temperature liquid.
- Evaporator: evaporator pipe is surrounded by the high temperature water from the machines, the liquid in the evaporator pipe absorbs the heat from the water and turns into gas.The gas is then fed into the compressor again.
