Questions to consider...

Caitlin Atkinson

"...Blake states 'the [Republican] party that is so reliant on white voters is also increasingly reliant on men…' Has this changed with the diverging views within the Republican party (i.e. Tea Party, Trump followers, and mainstream conservatives)? In other words, how will the splintering of the Republican Party affect the gender gap, if at all?"

Sarah-Janine Mayhew

"In regard to the ever growing gender gap in the United States, women are more likely to vote Democrat and men vote Republican. With Hillary Clinton standing for Democrat candidacy, in terms of descriptive representation, if Hillary becomes the candidate in the Presidential election, could this widen the gender gap further?"

Reyna Herrera

"Women vote more democratic because of the strategies developed by the party to appeal to them, again treating them as a group to be targeted. Yet, the Democratic Party is bringing awareness and support to these issues, which is exactly what women want. Does it diminish the value of women’s issues to treat them as such, in order to achieve the greater goal of gender equality? While the gender gap might be a bad thing because it divides the parties even more, is it a bad thing for women if in the end it helps bring equality?"
