The Execution of Thomas Scott

Thomas Scott was a Protestant

from Ireland who came to Canada in 1863. His goal was to make Canada expand and become successful.

His points of views showed hostility towards Roman Catholics and the French speaking.(Métis)

1869-Scott drifted to Red River.

Louis Riel, the Métis leader, saw Scott as a threat.

Scott had been captured several times by the Métis.

One time too many, Riel took action. His guards suggested Scott be given a court-martial.
