Thank you!
The people I would recommend reading this are people who have seen the movie and enjoyed it. Lots of ages can read this from around middle school to high school especially. Anyone who likes fantasy or adventure novels would also enjoy this classic book.
I thought the book was great. I loved the movie and the book was just as good. The book manages to be exciting and interesting even though I know most of what is going to happen from the movie. There were lots of unexpected moments and the entire book was written in a way that made it especially easy to enjoy since it was descriptive and vivid. There was lots of action and excitement all the way through and I really enjoyed it.
The theme of this novel is to stray outside your comfort zone every once in a while. Throughout the entire book Bilbo is faced with tough options and always has the ability to just leave and go home to what he knows. He chooses to stick with his companions and in the end it pays off as he has made lots of friends and gotten a taste of the real world. A specific example is the very first decision he makes which is whether to go with the dwarves or not and he does.
The Hobbit by J.R.R Tolkien is a story about a hobbit named Bilbo. He is invited on a journey by a strange wizard and a group of dwarves to reclaim their mountain kingdom from a dragon named Smaug. This book includes all of their adventures and challenges they face while they are on their journey to the Lonely Mountain.
