THANK YOU FOR WATCHING

King Alfred Plan

In the poem the author is talking about the condition in the concentration camps. It states here "For just a crust of bread, watermelon mirages and oasis that does not exits." In the concentration camps they can't even get proper food for them to to have 'life' in the sense that they won't have enough energy to be able to move around. The author also states "Lock in cages...arms out-stretched." making it clear enough to tell readers the condition that they were treated was horrible for protesting.

The cause of the concentration camps was because blacks were protesting against bigotry, "...echoes of Malcolm words...there must be black unity." This tell readers that there was a protest that was in motion when the blacks had got arrested or beaten when it occurred. In the concentration camps not only men were in there but so was children and women, babies crying or screaming. The concentration camps were made of concrete so that it wouldn't be easy to break down, and barb wires at the top so it wouldn't be easy to climb.

1972

In the poem the author states "check out Allenwood P.A.". In 1972 Allenwood P.A. There was a great flood and there was no way to stop it and so it was a time that no one can be remiss at. I believe the whole reason that the author added this was to compare Allenwood and how bad they were treated. I also interpreted that the author wanted to explain the flood they came with a plan so that they don't get flooded out. And so it's the same concept with the concentration camps.

King Alfred Plan

It is very wise to say that the plan that the blacks use to get out of their concentration camps was a plan similar like the King Alfred plan. The whole purpose of writing this poem was to emphasize

In conclusion, Gil Scott has a way with words and knows how to explain to the readers the feeling and point he is always trying to accumulate.

the theory they

had used to get out of the concentration camps.
